Easy, although does not tolerate sudden changes well

Feeding:
Will eat most foods offered, will also eat Aiptasia pest Anemones if hungry

Lighting:
Not applicable, but shy under intense light.

Water movement:
Not applicable

Compatibility:
Peaceful, can be kept solitary or in groups. Occasionally may steal food from corals, we have observed them doing this with Duncanopsammia axifiga.
Avoid keeping with large or aggressive fish that may view the them as food.

Other information:
Peppermint Shrimps are one of the few reef safe predators of Aiptasia Anemones, and this is why many fishkeepers purchase them. They can be a colourful shrimp, and when well settled they take on a deep red colour, but are quite shy, and will usually be found hiding in a shady spot. Peppermint Shrimps have a lifespan of up to 4 years.
