Powder Blue Tang (Acanthurus leucosternon)

Moderate

Feeding:
Will eat frozen Mysis & Brineshrimp will take dried foods readily when settled. Appreciates some vegetable matter e.g. dried seaweed.

Reef safe:
Considered reef safe. Will graze on algae

Compatibility:
Like many Tangs can be aggressive to newcomers once established, don't keep with other fish of a similar body shape or colouration, but should mix well with other similar size fish.

Other information.
Can be prone to Whitespot, we would recommend an aquarium housing a Powder Blue uses an Ultraviolet Steriliser, especially reef aquarium where treatment would be difficult. Powder Blues are an active swimmer, ensure the aquarium has plenty of open space

Our Tangs are hand picked from TMC and rested on our premises for at least 7 days and guaranteed feeding before being offered for sale.

All marine fish are only available for collection and payment in store. We are happy to reserve a fish in stock for up to 5 days. However, this will still be shown on our website until collected. Fish not collected within the specified period will be offered for sale without further notice.
