Feeding:
All the reportedly almost impossible to get feeding, all the Red Face Batfish we get are captive bred and will eat frozen Brineshrimp and Mysis.

Reef safe:
Not recommended, although safe with clean up crew when small

Compatibility:
When small only keep with slow moving peaceful fish as their long fins can get nipped and they can struggle to compete with fast moving species. As they grow they become more rounded and at this point can hold their own in a busy fish only aquarium. Can be kept with their own kind if the aquarium is large enough and they are added at the same time.

Other information
Red Face Batfish are very fast growing, young specimens are black with a bright red edge around their fins. This colouration will fade and disappear by the time the fish is around 20cm. As they grow their colouration becomes more silver with several vertical brown bars and yellow fins.
