Scooter (Neosynchiropus ocellatus)

10cm, although rarely seen above 6cm

Feeding:
Will usually accept a wide range of frozen foods, does better in aquariums with live rock, where it can hunt for Copepods and Amphipods. Make sure some food gets to the bottom as Scooters do not usually leave the bottom to get food.

Reef safe:
Yes

Compatibility:
Peaceful, does not do well in aquarium with active fish, these outcompete it for food and the Scooter will eventually starve.

Other information
Males have a large dorsal fin with an eye spot that the use for courtship and territorial display.

All marine fish are only available for collection and payment in store. We are happy to reserve a fish in stock for up to 5 days. However, this will still be shown on our website until collected. Fish not collected within the specified period will be offered for sale without further notice.
