Reef safe: No, even when small will nip at corals, generally safe with Shrimp, crabs and snails.

Compatibility: Don't keep with other large angels, but should mix ok with other fish of a similar size.

Other information.
Like many large angels can be aggressive to newcomers once established. Feed varied diet with vitamin supplements to promote colour and prevent lateral line erosion. Juvenile colours strikingly different to adult specimens. Large Emperor Angels can make a thumping noise if upset.
